Back "home", at least for a little while...
Not to bellyache, but if you've only spent 2 days in a place over a 4 week period, well, it's hard to call that place "home". Right now, it feels like home is whatever hotel I happen to be staying in this week. Not to bellyache.
But, I'm off this week, all week, and I am back at home in beautiful Greenville, SC, with my wonderful wife and adorable, if grossly overweight, kitty-cats. Eating home-cooked meals again. Sleeping in my own bed.
Of course, this time next week I'll be in Cleveland, TN. Trouble at the Duracell plant, apparently. The site manager quit. Because the place is so horrible. Great. But I'll go, and I'll do what I can, and then, afterward, I'll come home. And, I hope, stay for a good long while.
Honestly, I really don't think it will be that bad in Cleveland. At least there are more restaurants in Cleveland, and the hotel that will be my temporary home sounds pretty good (sausage biscuits as part of the continental breakfast, free wireless high speed internet access- so I won't have to "borrow" the wifi service of an adjacent hotel as I did in KY). If the beds are half-way comfortable and I can have a microwave, I'll be happy.
Everything is fine with me. I'm glad to be home now, at least for a little while. And I'm pretty sure that my time in Cleveland will be brief, maybe only a couple of weeks. Hey, we can always hope.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in the next few weeks, for birthdays and holidays and such. See y'uns soon. Much love...
