The Tennessee National Anthem- now in convenient capsule form!
I wish that I could take credit for this one, but I confess it comes from the fertile little toe-head of my wife, Chauntelle. A well known bluegrass tune/ unofficial Tennessee state anthem, in outline format:
Rocky Top:
In the Tennessee Hills
My beloved home
Poor soil for cultivation
Simple life
Things that Rocky Top does not have:
Smoggy Smoke
Telephone Bills
Corn (* unless in jar form)
The girl I met:
Half Bear
Half Cat
Manner akin to an undomesticated Mustela
Disposition as sugary as an RC Cola
She haunts my dreams
Rocky Top outsiders:
Were looking for illegal alcohol making apparatus
Have not been heard from/seen from since their mountain trek
Life off of Rocky Top:
Cramped up, much like Anatinae confined
Complex existence
Brilliant!
