My favorite song...this week
"Hold On, Hold On" by Neko Case, off the new CD Fox Confessor Brings The Flood (yeah, I have no idea what the title means, either).
Do you like pork? Corn whiskey? Wrasslin with horses and small bears? XBox? Cheese sammiches and brown dope? If so, I'm yer Captain Posey Pants.

Hey, Tabitha! Yeah, I admit I probably have a little crush on Neko Case. She could totally kick my ass.
She performed on the Tonight Show a couple of weeks ago, so I recorded it. I didn't watch the whole show, just her performance, which was effing awesome. Right after she sang, the show ended, and all the guests came out on stage and mingled with Neko and her band. One of the guests that night was the redneck comedian Larry the Cable Guy. So here's Larry the Cable Guy, like, hugging Neko Case, and I'm thinking, Wow, Larry the Cable Guy and Neko Case, hugging. So wrong. I thought my brain was gonna implode from the pressure.

Hard to picture, just remember, most of it is hype, a gimic, "I found what I like and can make money"kind of thing, which I personally don't have a problem with.
Fab to see you and C-Kitty over the week-end!!
Good to hear from you P-Cat!

Yes, I know that my husband has a crush on Neko Case...and really, who can blame him? Plus, I figure I don't really have anything to worry about.
Good to see your post, Tabitha!!! I went to your blog, but no way to leave a comment...I know what you mean about being scared--If I think about the fact that I'm going to be bringing a baby into this world, it scares me to death. I just try not to think about the enormity of the whole thing, and just enjoy this science experiment that's going on inside my body. I feel very fortunate that I've had as good of a pregnancy as I have--no sickness, no real cravings, and everything is going along as it should. It's still scary, though...your body ceases to be yours, and you just kinda have to go along with it. Just know that you have friends & family who love you and we're so excited for and with you.
Plus, when you get to feel that little goldfish inside your tummy move...it's an amazing feeling, and you know that everything is right with the world.
