High atop Paris Mountain
Paris Mountain looms over Greenville like an obese man over an all-you-can-eat buffet. Okay, maybe it doesn't so much loom. But it's there. You can pretty much see it on the horizon anywhere you go in Greenville. The top is covered with radio and television towers, from a distance looking for all the world like angry spikes jutting from the crown of some giant, sleeping, balding (hey, it's still winter) prehistoric mammal. We just discovered, in the past few weeks, that it is possible to drive to the very top of the mountain, up there with the towers and transmitters. So, that's what we did last Saturday. And this is our photo from the top of Paris Mountain- that's Greenville. The dome thing at the left of the photo is the Bi-Lo Center. The straight road at the left is Poinsett Highway. If you squint really hard, you can just make out Tanner's Big Orange. Okay, so you can't really see that. Man, I could go for an orange drink right now.

And Patrick must have really had a craving for an orange drink from Tanner's, because Tuesday, he came home with a big ol' orange drink, just for his pregnant schmoopie.
He really is good to me!!!
