From the lobby of a Jameson Inn in Lancaster, SC

See, this is another reason why I need that Wi-Fi enabled PDA...(yes I know Chauntelle, we ordered today after a week of my whining- God bless you for your patience).

A real quick one-

Just to tell that I agreed this afternoon to help out for 3 weeks at a site in Lexington, Ky. Although they would prefer that I start work there on Monday, I have asked to take Monday off as a travel day, so that I can have all of Sunday with my wife and family. I'm waiting to hear back from Belmont, but I don't imagine they will turn me down. I immediately consented to the assignment in Kentucky, and gave no conditions, so throwing me this one little bone...well, I don't think they'll deny it to me.

Can't wait for this week to get over with. Come one weekend!

Yes, Patrick, I do have the patience of the Dali Lama. Or is that the Dali's Llama? I don't know. I know that I don't usually spit, so maybe it's the first one.

I'm glad you're getting your PDA. And fer all you folks who aren't hip to the Palm T/X WiFi BT enabled PDA--it's an organizer with a great deal of memory; is WiFi capable, so Patrick can be sitting in the hotel of IDG's choice, and surfin' the net. Or, he could be in the bagel place we were at yesterday morning surfin' the net...but that would have been rude, as I was sitting there with him. It's BlueTooth enabled...and I honestly don't know what that means. You can store loads of stuff on it--birthdays, ring size of your wife, favorite perfume from London ('Cornubia'), grocery lists; it has Microsoft-able programs on it so you can do spreadsheets at work, download them, work on them, then download them back to the computer; you can play games on it...it's really very, very cool.

And with my stellar bargain-sniffing abilities, we did find one at a great price, and hopefully it'll be here for the Celebration of All Things Patrick.

I'm hoping it comes early, so I can open it up & release the "new PDA smell" into the air for when Patrick comes home.

Sorry!!! Didn't mean to slight anyone! Just was worried that they wouldn't get to come home. And, that Granny's big bash would be upset because of it...didn't mean to make anyone feel left out!!!! ;-)

Well, this weekend is the Celebrate All Things Patrick weekend. Then next weekend is the Celebrate All Things Kelley. I know that we'll have to squeeze in the Celebrate All Things Kala in there, too, but that's not technically until the weekend following.
